Argentina Corn Output to Drop in 2010-2011 Season, USDA Says
Argentina may harvest 21 million metric tons of corn in 2010-2011 marketing year, down from an estimated 23.3 million a year earlier, a unit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in areport posted today on its website. Exports may drop to 13.25 million tons from 16.465 million last year.
Corn production in the 2011-2012 marketing year may rise to 26 million tons on increased planted acreage, the report said. Exports may jump to 18.2 million, the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service said.
