Corn exports down 28 percent

  • Net sales of 613,400 MT were down 28 percent from the previous week and 43 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (501,800 MT, including 95,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 39,900 MT), Egypt (62,400 MT), Mexico (60,700 MT), Taiwan (22,700 MT), Colombia (16,600 MT, including 15,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,800 MT), and Venezuela (15,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (78,600 MT) and the Dominican Republic (3,700 MT).  Net sales of 243,900 MT for delivery in 2011/2012 were for Mexico (158,500 MT) and unknown destinations (85,400 MT).  Exports of 935,300 MT were down 15 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (433,900 MT), Mexico (194,600 MT), Taiwan (145,700 MT), Egypt (73,800 MT), South Korea (48,300 MT), and Colombia (15,600 MT).
