Zambia Exports 238,000 Tons Corn to SADC Countries, Reuters Says
Zambia exported 238,000 metric tons of corn to Southern African Development Community countries this year, Reuters reported, citing the state-run Food Reserve Agency.
The exports are about half of the planned 500,000 tons of corn it will sell to countries in the region, the news agency cited Mwamba Siame, spokeswoman for the agency, as saying.
Zambia sold 170,000 tons of corn to Zimbabwe and 64,000 tons to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Reuters reported.
